Jonathan Jackson, PhD
Dr. Jackson is a Founder and the Research Principal of CRESCENT Advising, LLC. Additionally, he serves as the founding Director of the Community Access, Recruitment, & Engagement (CARE) Research Center in the Division of Clinical Research at Massachusetts General Hospital and as an Assistant Professor in Neurology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Jackson’s work focuses on barriers to accessing clinical trials for historically marginalized and minoritized populations; he has developed long-standing partnerships with dozens of community-based organizations on these issues.
Helen Hemley, MPA
Ms. Hemley is a Founder and the Administrative and Policy Principal of CRESCENT Advising, LLC. Prior to starting CRESCENT, she served as the Administrative Director of the CARE Research Center, Community Engagement Coordinator for the NIH All of Us Research Program in New England, and Communications and Community Health Council Administrative Lead for the Department of Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. Ms. Hemley has introduced innovations to clinical research engagement by introducing Theories of Change and Outcome Maps. Her expertise focuses on implementation of public and community health models into clinical research infrastructure and community engagement strategies for engaging historically marginalized communities in research.
